I found this at www.nicolas-cage.biz blog photos  they got off of Rexfeatures.com website  (these are the World Trade Center reception on Wednesday night pictures).

I think Nic looks like a funeral director from the 1800's.  This and the gray are old man suits (same suit, different colors).  They don't fit him. He shouldn't be in vibrant colors for the event for sure, but some style would be okay.
