Well, that's very sweet of you to say, but there is definitely fat there.  Mostly in my waist, hips and thighs.  What you see is an upper-body shot.  My breasts are also very large, but I'm always going to have big, round breasts and hips no matter how much weight I lose.  I've had them since I was 10 (I developed really, REALLY early... imagine being 10 or 11 and people assuming you're legal because you're tall and wear a bigger bra than your teachers ). -- Edited by Damaris at 15:02, 2006-04-22

Well it may have come from stress D. With all you've been going through as of late, your bound to put on a few pounds. That's exactly how I am too! I realized that now that I'm not with my ex anymore, & the weight I've been carrying around for 12+ years is flying off now! He's been gone 6 months & I've already lost 30lbs.

Y'all, I'm such a ****ing fat-ass.  I want to go with my friends in the singles group to a cowboy bar, but I can't fit into any of my Rockies.  I can pull them up all the way to my waist, but I can't zip them   No matter how hard I suck in my gut, the zipper just won't go up.

I DON'T EAT THAT MUCH!  I don't snack between meals, I rarely eat desserts, I only drink calorie-free drinks (except for occassional trips to Starbucks, but that only happens maybe once or twice a month), I've been trying to stay away from fried foods but I still slip up at times.  I suck... I'm such a fat-ass.  I can't fit into any of my Rockies, so I don't know what I'm going to wear now.  None of my cute cowgirl jeans fit anymore.

I don't know if I even want to go anywhere now.

Well, I finally managed to pour my lard into them by lying on the bed and lifting my pelvis while I zip.  So at least I've managed to cover my body without calling on Omar the Tent Maker.

You are better off eating every 3 hours to keep your metabolism running rather than having it stop and try to start back up.  You should snack on fruits and veggies all day.

Once I got them zipped, I was fine... luckily, my blouse billowed out a little naturally, so it didn't look like I had this massive bulge of fat hanging over the waistline.  I hate it when women wear super-tight lowrider jeans with the ring of lard looming over their belt.  Even skinny chicks do this.

Y'all should be proud of me today... I took my usual 3-mile walk today, but I jogged 1 mile of it!  I'm trying to infuse a little more activity into my life every day, push myself just a little more every time.  Eventually I want to have the endurance to jog a whole 3 miles without stopping.  That would be great!  But it might take me awhile.

Hey, don't knock fried Spam sandwiches.  My mom used to carve up a couple of 'em for me and my little brother when we were kids... slap some Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread and a couple o' slices of fried Spam... served up with Lay's potato chips and some lemon-lime Kool-Aid... DAMN!  We thought we had it so good!

That's weird. I grew up with the Indians down here and that's what they cook. I've gotten to where I love a fried spam sammich. They fry bologna too and put it on a fried egg & make a sammich out of that too. Also canned corned beef w/ can tomatoes over rice. Or they used cubed spam to make that last stuff. And always with a bread they make out of flour & water that they fry.

The Indians down here have the highest level of diabetes around and have awareness conferences for them so they can try to learn to eat healthier.

My mom fed us really, really bad stuff growing up.  Lots of lunch meat sandwiches with Miracle Whip and cheese, Spam, canned vegetables prepared with lots and lots of butter, tons of starches, sugary sodas and Kool-Aid out the yin-yang.  We also ate a lot of chocolate, cakes and pies.  I can count on both hands the number of times we had fresh fruit in the house, and all of those times were around Christmas (oranges in our stockings).  Oddly enough, my brother and I were both skinny, but that was because we were always outside riding bikes, running, etc.  We were extremely active as children.  However, once we reached puberty and didn't go out as much, the weight crept on FAST.

My parents still eat this way, even though they say they're trying to change.  They're not trying very hard though.

I remember one summer, we ate at McDonald's EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. because they were putting Astrosniks in the Happy Meals, and we wanted to collect all of them.  My mom was babysitting two kids down the street that were our age, so she'd take some of the babysitting money and we'd all go to Mickey D's.  We had 7 of each of those little Astrosniks, a whole colony of the little guys.  Years later, we sold them at a garage sale... they were in a huge Pizza Hut duffle bag (another culinary passion of ours).

RE: The Fat Chick Club (or, "How I Learned to Love Carrot Sticks")

Am I the only one that was fed when I was young with fish , rice and veggies ????

Sometimes we had roasted lamb  with mint jelly , mashed whipped potatoes with savory, thym , rosemary it was really good !

Sometimes we had turkey ...with wild - brown  - white rices mixed together

We had for dessert = my favorite ( my mom was a queen making the best in the west of cheese cake with cherries  )

My mom permitted me to have wine at table 1 glass at 14 years of age

Kimmy, are you from Europe?  Many Europeans were raised eating the foods you described.

My parents really didn't know any better.  We rarely ate vegetables, unless they were from a can and covered with butter.  And even then, they were the starchy kind - a lot of corn, lima beans and peas.  I don't think I ever ate broccoli as a child.  I think we had brussels sprouts one time.

Sometimes we'd eat "taco salad", which was really just a bunch of iceberg lettuce with Doritos chips, hamburger and tomato sauce dumped on top, along with cucumber, tomato and cheese.  Oh, and those little french-fried onion things.  It was mostly chips, cheese and meat.

My mom gave us white bread smothered in butter, with sugar sprinkled on top.  We ate this for a snack.  Also, hot dogs (raw!), slices of cheese and cookies.  We drank so much soda it was unbelievable... sometimes 7 or 8 cans a day, in the summer.  Lots of ice cream and pizza.  We had donuts or sugary cereals for breakfast, with whole milk.

Damn.  Looking back on it, our diets really sucked ass.  Even at school, I drank chocolate milk every day and our lunchroom meals consisted of hamburgers, pizza and chili.  It's a miracle I was not more than a little chubby as I got older.

My Mom was a single parent. She worked alot and just left TV dinners for my brother and I to heat up. She never made us breakfast!! She was never much of a cook. I don't remember many meals she made besides spagetti and the occassional steak.

I remember being like the neighborhood street urchin...lol. I ate dinner at my friends houses. I guess their folks felt bad for me being on my own so much. When I turned 12/13 I would walk home from school with the Indians and just go to their houses and hang out and eat with them. There wasn't anything to go home to!
