I love how, on their wedding day, Nic is carrying her red purse with all the other stuff in his arms and she has yet another tote and a white folder.  He looked seriously haggard after his shopping spree on the wedding day!

I just remember being 19 and dreaming of my wedding day, and maybe this is just my midwest views showing here, but at that age I wanted something special because you believe this is the only wedding you are getting.  I'm sure Nic's money made it very nice, but the planning was part of the allure to the special day.


Now that I'm older a private or beach wedding would be nice.  It's hard to see how a 20 year old diva wanted a quicky wedding unless she got a huge honeymoon payoff in exchange.  She seems to like the brand label spending and a wedding is the ultimate in indulge-shopping....an excuse to be "all about the bride".  Just seems odd she didn't jump on this one.


Probably her values are just different than mine since we grew up in different parts of the country and in different generations.  We don't spend money loosy-goosey here but do spend enormous amounts of time with our kids.  Silly midwesterners!!
