The Weather Man's latest forecast? Sunny and breezy with a chance of privacy 100 percent.
After selling his Malibu mansion last year for a cool $10 million, Nicolas Cage has now plunked down $3 million for a relatively pristine island in the Bahamas, the Wall Street Journal reports.
a d v e r t i s e m e n t
It's the second rock for the 42-year-old Oscar winner, who bought his first Bahamian island in 2000 and has a house on Paradise Island near Nassau.
The 40-acre retreat is situated some 85 miles south of that residence in the Exuma archipelago chain in the southern Bahamas, reportedly near an island owned by married country crooners Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
According to the paper, Cage plans to turn the undeveloped private atoll into a romantic getaway for himself and his wife, Alice, and their infant son, Kal-El.
A rep for the actor was unavailable for comment.
Cage is among an elite group of celebrities with their own private islands to get away from it all (and the paparazzi). Others include Johnny Depp and Mick Jagger who both own strips in the Caribbean.
The trend may have been started by the late Marlon Brando, who passed much of his time on an isolated island near Tahiti.
When he's not lying on the beach downing piņa coladas, Cage has had plenty of work to keep him busy.
The thesp has just begun filming on Next, an action thriller directed by James Bond filmmaker Lee Tamahori about a man (Cage) with a psychic ability to view future events who's wanted by the FBI to help stop a major terrorist attack. The film costars Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel.
Cage's next big screen foray, the Oliver Stone-helmed World Trade Center, unspools nationwide Aug. 9 and finds him playing a port authority police officer who evacuates the iconic towers after the 9-11 terrorist attacks and is trapped under the rubble when the buildings collapse. The trailer debuted in theaters Friday in front of screenings of The Da Vinci Code.
He's also lending his voice to Warner Bros. animated comedy Ant Bully, due out later this summer, and is headlining Neil Labute's update of the 1970s horror mystery, The Wicker Man.
And last but not least, Cage will reprise his role as treasure hunter Ben Gates in National Treasure 2, a sequel to 2004's family blockbuster, which is being targeted for a summer 2007 release.

I can't help but wonder about his choice of locations. The house he had in New Orleans got wasted when Katrina flooded out the area his house was in. But to also buy places that are sure to take a beating from future hurricanes makes me wonder.....lol.
I guess they're good for tax right-offs as well as insurance write-offs.

I met a guy yesterday and we were talking about movie stars because I had recently spotted Paris Hilton in North Hollywood . I told him I liked Keanu Reeves and Nic Cage and he told me that his friend works in Koreatown and that a while back(I'm assuming pre-Alice), he says that Nic used to go there quite a lot. The guy said that he and his friend hung out in Koreatown and also his friend that works in Koreatown told him that he saw Nic a lot there. I asked him about La Prive and he told me how amazing it was that Korean men would drop 5000 sometimes in a night at that club. I asked him if girls hung out there to meet rich men. He said some of them did and that others were there for the free drinks they could get from them, some there to just hang out. But I thought it interesting about the place. Being that he met her there, I found that interesting. I also found it interesting that the guy said Nic used to go to Koreatown a lot.If thats so, then Obviously he was looking for something particular there at the time, and now he has it.

Now, I do not know how true that is and I am not at all saying that she was that. But I thought it interesting about the place. Being that he met her there, I found that interesting. Yeah ...a full time whore at home lol

Nic has said in interviews before that he's always been drawn there because you can step into another country without having to get on a plane....he likes being able to study different cultures. So it's not surprising he hooked up with an Asian girl, it's HER that is the issue.
None of it really means anything or who knows if that guy was even correct.. though I found it interesting anyway. Nic is cool how he likes things that are different. Thats his appeal.
What's not cool is how dumb some men can be when a girl, who is a pro, plays them. "I'm so innocent" my ass!
There is an article recently on the Topix site that basically runs you through 24 hours in Koreatown. Many of the places are open 24/7. How are innocent girls at booking clubs so late that, according to Nic, was the only place open?
Someone needed some booty, got it, and now has to keep it for a long time. The girl is street smart if not book smart.
Oh and Sinclair, why would he "Have to keep it" like you wrote? Is there some Korean tradition or family shame involved if he divorced her if he was not happy?
Pffffffffff ****in **** ...he should just divorce from that whore and give her money ..and just watch she will be very happy that way if she gets few millions from him ( she will be able go shopping 24/24 - 7/7 shopping is HER life lol the most important thing in her life is fashion and shopping ...spend a lot of money and play glamour ...yeah right lol , and watch I am sure she won't care about that Asian pup that she whelped !

If for some reason that were to happen, father's do have rights to see their children legally. And I would guess he or his lawyer was smart enough to do a prenup. She would however have rights to half of everything they got since marriage and he bought properties and island since that.
