lol....funny. What ya'll don't realize is that I took 1 1/2 wks from work because I have drive Danny to get his license re-instated. Until then, I will have to drive him around. Like to see his family etc.


On top of that, I am still boarded up from hurricanes, with all my fences knocked down, and other damage. He and I will be working around the house, and trips to "hell depot" to try and get it back in shape. I have 3 out of 4 vehicles dead in the yard he will need to get going again. AND the A/C quit blowing cold, so now we have to figure that out too. Then there is my Mom who is hell bent on us moving her back into her house from an Assisted Living facility. The fun just never stops around here.


We won't have much time for fun & games. Then it's off to work and just the week-ends to try and get things done!  Good ol' life. Same old, same old all over again.

So I made two steps in the right direction today!  Or rather, I DIDN'T make two steps in the WRONG direction.


There was a meeting today, and someone brought Krispy Kreme donuts and fresh fruit (melon, pineapple, grapes).  I could have ate donuts, but instead I had a piece of watermelon, a piece of pineapple and two chunks of canteloupe.  This might not sound like such a big deal to some people, but for me this is a miracle because I LOVE donuts, especially Krispy Kreme.


Then for lunch, instead of eating at Sonic (which would have been ridiculously easy and tempting - onion rings, yummmmm), I am eating a cup of the weight loss soup and an egg sandwich (1 egg scrambled dry, with fat-free cheese and mustard).  I also have been eating lots of grapefruit and drinking grapefruit juice the past few days.


I am going to be 20 lbs. lighter when I fly to see Sinclaire March 17th, come hell or high water.

          Yes Damaris ..you are in the right direction you'll see it's gonna be easier soon for you to eat that way even you'll love it ...you know I once a week spoil myself with something like a fresh (Cherry Cheese Cake ) the real one ....it's really a treat for me once a week yum yum yummmmmmmmy   Congratulation Damaris...it,s from the start not easy but ...keep working on it !

Thanks, Kimmy!  This is soooooooo hard for me because food is a big weakness of mine.  Especially cheeseburgers.  I could eat donuts every morning and cheeseburgers with onion rings every lunch and dinner... if I didn't care about my health or what I looked like.  And the thing about a diet is, you start thinking about all the stuff you can't have, and it makes you want it even more.  But I'm just trying to imagine how I'll look in a new swimsuit this summer.

If you want my honest opinion D, I'd say it's not so much about keeping away from the foods you love so much as it is moderating them. I just don't believe in cutting things out completely unless you have to because once you go off your diet and start eating these things again, guess what!?

Oh I know you don't have to tell me. Start gradually. Eventually you'll be able to eat just one. (No pun intended)(Well maybe a little!) LOL!
