Thanks!  About all I can do is type right now.  I lost my balance earlier today and fell.  Not feeling too whippy right now so I think I'll check back in later.

Cage says his relationship with Alice, 21, a former waitress whom he calls "an angel," grounds him. She gave birth to their son, Kal-el, Oct. 3. "I don't think I could have done these last two or three movies if she wasn't there," says Cage, who did last winter's family hit National Treasure and Lord of War and is now working with director Oliver Stone on a 9/11 drama. "I never really experienced that kind of support. It was the perfect dynamic to bring a child into the world."

Hello everyone!

Ough gosh, I hope I didn't offend anybody with my posting here - believe me, that's far from my intention.  I sincerely apologize if I did.

Just like you guys here, I'm a die-hard fan of Nic & definitely no fan of Alice Kim (I don't even know her & I'm not planning to LOL).  And yes, I myself personally heard from numerous friends from the Korean community in L.A. that Alice was...well, let's say that she's a "naughty" girl (a.k.a. call girl) - and the Korean-American community is certainly not proud of that.

Nevertheless, as much as I want to be in Nic's bed tonight (hihihi)...but Nic chose to be with Alice...and unfortunately there's nothing much none of us can do about that...hiks..hiks..hiks...

I think that Nicolas Cage's decision to be with Alice Kim was rooted back to his childhood.  I just read one article (an interview) which said that when Nic's mother was young (she was a schizophrenic), he always wanted to save her. "I think that translates into a lot of the roles that I've played lately - the sort of hero, the person who will save you," Nicolas Cage reflects. "In the past I was always attracted to women that I felt needed to be healed in some way, and I think it had an enormous impact on me as a man, because of my constant need to save."

Morever, I think Alice is just the kinda girl who "knows how to play her cards right".  Take a look at the following:

  • Nicolas Cage met Kim at a Los Angeles nightclub. On their first meeting, she abruptly left after chatting for just five minutes. Cage said he wrote her a note asking why she walked away and he gave her his phone number.  He said he then invited her to join him in a visit to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. "She said sure, but I'd have to get her home by 11 o'clock," he said.
  • Before Nicolas Cage was even sure about the direction of the romance, he asked Jon Voight, father of Angelina Jolie, for a few tips while they filmed their movie "National Treasuire" together. Voight says, "He fell in love during the film and I was playing his father. And he came to me and he said, 'I talked to Alice last night. We were on the telephone very late and she said, 'Call me later. What does that mean?' "(I said,) 'What does that mean? It means call her later! What do I know?'"But you know, when you're in that dating situation, you don't know. Alice is a lovely gal."

So I think all of the above somehow made her so goddamn attractive in his eyes - this gal really knows how to play hard to get (and Nic just the type of guy who loves challenge).  Therefore, it's not mere physical attraction - because there are many women in his working field who are 10 times much more beautiful than her - and she's not exactly a beauty queen material either.  YET, he chose to marry her.

Anyway, this is just my crazy "analysis" for fun (hihihi)...I'm pretty much open for different types of opinion...As for me, whether he's married or single, Nicolas Cage will always be my perfect dream man no matter what ;) I love yaa Nic! Muuuacchhh! Muuuacchhh! Muuuacchhh! hihihi...

P.S.  Hi Ella! I heard that you met Alice a few times, just out of curiousity, can you tell me how tall is she? 5' 1" perhaps? Also, can u pls tell me your first impression of Nic & her? I would truly appreciate that. Thanks so much sweetie!

Thanks for adding all this information, Anggun.  I'm sure nobody here was offended.  I completely agree with everything you wrote, and that's an interesting analysis.

I just don't know what to think about all of that anymore, so I try not to.  It's easier on my sanity that way    But I don't mind if you post this kind of stuff - it's interesting.

I also have been trying to find out how tall Alice is. She looks very small compared to his other serious relationships. Lisa Maria is like 5'1", so I think that Alice may be just a little shorter. She appears to only come up to his elbow, in heels...lol

You didn't offend me Anggun. And I'm sure no one else was offended either even though it can be a touchy subject at times. So no need for appologies!

That's an interesting analysis too!

My first impression of them together?! I laughed my ASS off! I thought he was babysitting!!!! Well maybe not but I still laughed! Sorry. I know that makes me sound like a bitch but what can I say. I know I am most of the time. I think it's mostly a defense mechanism I learned living in this heartless town of HELL-A.

lol. Ella I thought the same thing when I first seen the pic of them at the Academy Awards. Hell, if he wanted a "little girl" to support, he should have just adopted. That's very "in" these days out there!...lol. (ohh, but then you can't have sex with her unless you're Woody Allen)...lol

How much "support" did he need to make National Treasure, Ghost Rider, and Lord of War?  They weren't exactly emotionally taxing works of art.  I loved the movies - but I wasn't crying or angry like Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, or City of Angels.  Couldn't have been as tough as the nightmares he had during and after Bringing Out the Dead.  I'm just saying he could have made those type of movies with or without being married.  Would WeatherMan have been as good if he wasn't in such an emotional upheave over his divorce from Lisa Marie?  NO.

I DEFINATELY thinks he needs a daughter and NOT a little girl to be married to. He would make a great dad to a daughter though. I really would love to see him holding one around town. I would get all melting inside with warmth. Oh well. I guess the pissed off anger/rage I get when I see the Kimchee will have to do! Where's my stick shift??!!!

hahaha...I love your bluntness!  LOL ....

But did Nic & Alice seem to be affectionate? (him towards her and vice versa) Cuz on the pics...yeah, they hold hands and all that...but I don't know...seems so dry sometimes...
