I'm Sam from Anchorage, Alaska. I met Nick when he was filming Wicker Man. He was a gracious and wonderful man whom stopped everything to speak to me and my father. I have been a fan for years but now even more so! I've been on the IMDB board for years but only now am adventuring out to the other boards to find other fans, too.

Well that's funny you mention that. They filmed a few scenes in Wicker Man off the coast of Kake, Alaska as well as Vancouver, BC. I had heard he and Alice had broke things off the week before he arrived. And when my dad and me saw him in Kake at a local artists shop he was with another woman. She was very beautiful. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He was smiling like a school boy and holding her hand or wrapping his arm around her waist. Then after his trip to Kake within a week he was married to Alice. I'm not really sure what happened there but maybe she was just a friend? I have no clue. I've never seen a friend look at a friend like that though!
It was the summer of 2004. Wicker Man was filmed mostly in Vancouver, BC but also was filming on Saturna Island, Upper Nicola, and Merritt which are all in and around BC. As for the woman, she was not young like Alice. Maybe in her 30's? She was not skinny either. She was a normal chick with hips and very quiet. I really liked her hair.(Diff from my hair that's long and jet black) It was long and an auburn shade. I was just really blown away that I was talking to Nick Cage and didn't really pay much more attention to her until they walked off together. I never saw them again. Then about a week later I heard that he had married Alice anyway. That's bizarre.

Well, I'm glad to hear Nic was smiling and happy at some point! We don't see that as much now. He has a tendency to side up to thinner gals for some reason....maybe because he is also thin??? Nice to see he had a normal gal like the rest of us!!!
