If you're a Tarantino fan (like me), you'll want to see this flick anyway, but even if you're not you might want to sneak in after the first feature, "Planet Terror". There are fake movie trailers between the features, just like in the old 70's drive-in movies, and one of them is called "Werewolf Women of the SS", directed by Rob Zombie.
Now, don't ask me why he's in it, but Nic is seen for about eight seconds, playing Fu Man Chu. I don't know anything else about it, but he's in there. It's hilarious. He's wearing a regal-looking Chinese silk robe and a Fu Man Chu moustache.
Listen to the audience when he pops up... they're all giggling. It was the same reaction when I saw it last night.

I LOVED IT! It's kind of gory, but no more so than "Kill Bill", and it's got a cheesy, campy feel to it. The first feature was made with Super 8 film, so it's got the grainy, staticky look of an old drive-in movie. The second one is also kind of grainy, but not nearly as much - the first one, "Planet Terror", was actually directed by Rodriguez, and "Death Proof" was directed by Tarantino. Very, very cool flick.
A couple of things I noticed... some of the actors and locations were used in both movies. My dad said this was very common in the early 70s, because there weren't nearly as many actors around back then, and studio funds were limited. So it wasn't uncommon at all to see the same hospital, scenic dirt road or bar used in four or five (or even more) movies every year.

OK, level with me... am I the only one who thought he looked kind of hot in that Fu Manchu costume?
