SOME BITCH GOT MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND SPENT ALMOST $1000 ON COACH.COM LAST NIGHT!!!!
I found out today at lunch when I tried to withdraw $20 and discovered my account was almost $200 in the hole. The customer service rep looked up my account, and there it was... a purchase for $971.14 at Coach.com at 3 a.m. this morning.
OMG. OMFG.
I still have my debit card, and I only make purchases online through PayPal. So we have no idea how someone could have gotten it, unless they hacked into my computer somehow. And the worst part is, we can't do a damn thing about it until tomorrow... we have to let it hit my account, so it can be traced. The rep seemed to think that I could dispute the claim with Coach and get reimbursed immediately.
I HAVE TO GET MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY. Some **** just wiped out my account. Please, oh please, oh PLEASE let it be just a computer error... let someone at Coach.com find it and cancel it before it hits. Please, please, please... let it be something that can be easily fixed.
When I found out, I was so upset I could have puked.

I think usually Banks do have insurances to refund customers money in some cases like that don't they ? Hope you will get your money back ! I really wish ...that is weird ...

Damaris, that sucks. You need to trace the order to who and what address they put for it to be shipped to and then prosecute that person to the fullest extent. Also contact your bank asap because some accounts you are not liable for if that happens. There should be a 800 number for your bank and customer service . Good luck, that is so awful for you.
Oh, the bank already knows about it. I spoke with someone in customer service yesterday. I checked this morning, and it went through, so now I have to go down there again and get it straightened out. But first I'm calling Coach to see what they can do about tracing it.

I had that happen to me about 2 yrs. ago. Some bitch wiped out my Pal Pay acct and I ended up having to call all 3 credit bureaus and put a FRAUD notice on my accts. I couldn't buy any large items for some time.
Sorry "D" to hear that someone has done that to you too! The internet can be a very scary place indeed!

D, You need to also make sure you get a new card number and get rid of that one. You also need to try to figure out how someone got it and where because if someone got into your purse somewhere they could also have other info like your social sec # on your drivers license. Is your purse secure at your job? Mine once got stolen at my job last year. You really need to prosecute whoever did that to you, its a crime. Good luck, I hope it gets straightened out soon for you.
I called Coach this morning, and they confirmed that the card was declined because the name and address provided didn't match my account However, that money is still a pending transaction against my account, and will remain there for the next couple of days until it drops off. That really sucks, but at least it didn't go through.

Damaris, I'm glad for you that it didn't go thru. BUT you really should recontact them and tell them that you want to have them look into it or contact your bank to do it, so you can try to prosecute whoever did it to you. If people start realizing that they will get prosecuted, then maybe so much fraud and such will quit happening so much in this world.
This is just one of the many reasons why I harbor a deep-seated resentment towards society in general. People lie, steal, cheat and hurt for nothing more than a cheap thrill, without regard for how it affects others.

I never use any credit card and never buy on internet...and when I go out I do hide my money and cards inside a special secret pocket with a zipper inside my clothes and I am very careful. We work hard anough for our money !
