I ran across this photo on the internet from his younger days. I had never seen it before and thought it was cute so I'm posting it here. I think that Nicolas' gorgeous eyes stand out better when he has dark hair like this.

It's not an age thing either... he was very much this way all the way up through "National Treasure", to varying degrees. Then he changed :frown:.
I don't like the change. He's acting like a frumpety old geezer now... the life has been sucked out of him. He doesn't have his fire anymore.

im beginning to think hes lost his soul. i dont like saying that but he hasnt been the same man since 2000 or so. i remember seeing a pix of him at the Family Man premere in a fun Hawaiian type shirt and he looked healthy and good. its been downhill since then. what the devil has happened to him?
Huh, I thought it was later than 2000, but I could be wrong. I think he totally lost his soul around early 2004. But maybe you saw something in him that I didn't. But regardless, he does look a lot different now.... OMG, do you guys think he's had a facelift or something? You don't notice anything amiss until you see a picture of him before.... this was around the time he filmed "Wild at Heart" and of course that's reflected in his T-shirt.

the only reason i keep saying that i think something happened as far back as 2000 or 2001 is because i remember seeing pix of him at the Family Man premere and he looked healthy and happy. then came the premere for Adaptation and he looked vacant in the eyes. then there were pix of him and Lisa and he had gotten way to thin and his eyes looked dead in lots of pictures. then there were some pixs of him at some Las Vegas thing in 2001 where he got some award and he looked like he was about to cry or sumthing. ive wondered if his split from Patty is what sent him down and that he never really healed from that. that happened in 2000 right? if you can look at that cagefactor sight and look closely at pixs as far back as 2000 or 2001 and youl see what i see. the look in his eyes these days isnt new i swear its not
I think deep down, he's still crazy about Patricia.
