I just got back from a cookout at someone's house, and had just about the best time EVER!!! But I don't understand why so many people are afraid to cut loose and have a good time. This person was part of our singles group, and on the calendar it was mentioned that he had a jacuzzi so everyone should bring a swimsuit. Well, I brought my side dish for the cookout and wore my swimsuit under my clothes Lots of other people showed up, but they didn't wear swimsuits. They said, "Oh, I don't want to get in... I don't have a hot tub body.". Who the **** cares what your body looks like? It's all about having a good time! I jumped in by myself and really enjoyed it. These are the same people that wouldn't eat any of the desserts that people brought because there was too much sugar in them.
Now, when I end up in the nursing home and I'm babbling away at the attendants about all the stuff I did when I was younger, what do you think I want to tell them? Do I want to tell them that I went to a cookout, ate salad and talked about work, or do I want to tell them that I ate strawberry pie with homemade ice cream, got tipsy on mason jar margaritas, played volleyball and dozed off in a jacuzzi? I'm sorry, but I'd rather eat strawberry pie, play games and jump in a hot tub in my bikini even if I could stand to lose a few pounds. Who the **** cares? People are too concerned with not looking "stupid" or "getting fat".
