Maybe she is trying to become a reader now that she's married to him   Maybe that impresses him or something like that.. The story is funny.

remember this truth.  most of what an actor puts out to the press is a carefully calculated pr stunt.  nothing is said on the fly.  remember too that an actor in real life is rarely anything like his public persona.  its just that, an act

does anyone else ever wonder what Nicolas's father must think of Alice?  were talking a Comparative Literature Professor here and a High School drop out who didn't know what the Declaration of Independence was.

That's an interesting question.  I think that, initially, his father (and the rest of the family) would be happy that she was (hopefully) making HIM happy.  But I'm sure that after awhile, they would start to wonder if they were truly compatible.  I don't know if they would actually judge her, but they would definitely be concerned.


But you know what?  Until Nicolas Cage himself says otherwise, we can only assume that they ARE happy together.  I mean, sure, we can give informed opinions, but the truth is that we will never know... probably until much later.

Well, I know I'm being redundant, but I just keep going back to the whole thing with Patricia.  They were married for years, appeared in public together, but lived apart.  You know, honestly, who is to say when things are exactly as they appear?  For that matter, who is to say when everything you read in interviews is gospel?  Or, who is to say it isn't?  We'll never know until later, and by then we probably won't care, LOL.

That is an interesting question about his father because I think that I read somewhere that he cares a lot about his father's opinion and respect.

         My guess is that his dad  and uncle probably think Nicolas just lost it one more time and that it will end up with another girl friend another divorce .........and what they think of Alice I guess they probably think she is  0 , a street punk, a non educated, a gold-digger etc etc............

Well according to gossip around Hell-ay his whole family despises her!!! His father isn't even speaking to him right now. But that's just gossip ladies. What do I know right?
