its just to dark around the eye. u can see they used eyeliner and mascara. ive noticed in some pictrues that his eyes are made up. great for photo ops but i still dont like him this way.
the picture created with the border is nice though.
Nicolas has a classic look that would have worked well even in Jimmy's day.
Did I ever tell y'all about my grandpa?

I prefer him without all the altering too! He's that much more sexier!

OH GOODY! I get to tell this story to a fresh audience!
My grandpa was in the Navy in WWII, and he was stationed with a guy whose father was a Hollywood producer (don't know his name - sorry). Anyway, this guy BEGGED my grandpa to come back with him to Hollywood when their duty was over, because his father wanted to put him in the movies. Apparently, the guy had sent pictures of my grandpa to his dad, and he thought he was so good-looking that he could have been a movie star. They were both completely serious, and my grandpa almost did it, but he was dating my grandma at the time and wanted to go back to her instead.
My grandpa looked like a cross between Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne... he was really tall and 1/2 Indian, with black curly hair and strong features. I'll have to scan some pics of when he was younger and post them here.

Aww D! That was so sweet of your grandpa! Too bad he couldn't just take Grams with him.
Wow Trace, that was totally awesome. If he'd had gone maybe your folks would have been born out there, and then you would have too and you would know some movie stars or grew up with some. Ya just never know ....lol. I still think it was cool. Now lets see Grandpa!!!
And by the way, for those who don't know it. Jimmy (James) Stewart was a very famous movie star back in his day. Nic does have the "classic" movie star looks. He would be awesome in a movie about that era!

I'll see if I can get some pics scanned. I think my mom has some on her online photo album. There is one picture of them on their wedding day that is just too precious. He was a very rugged-looking man... I can see why his friend and his dad wanted him to try motion pictures.
It's odd. I have no idea why my grandma didn't move to California with him, because he would have done it had it not been for her. My grandma would have probably been successful as well... she was a singer and had at one time been offered tuition at an opera school in Austria (her minister was going to pay for the whole thing), but she wanted to get married and have kids instead. So they both turned down opportunities for fame, fortune and glamour to be with each other. Kind of romantic, actually.
My family has had a far more exciting life than I have.

Dang, I forgot all about it, what with the excitement of getting my car hit TWICE in four days.
