We finally got around to watching this old Nic flic last night. It was one that I did not have in my collection and recently was able to acquire. It was made in 1986, but he looks alot like how he did in "Valley Girl". VERY HOT!!!!! Lean and ripped!
Matthew Modine was in it too. Matthew's character is very strange indeed, but Nic has a soft spot for him. I was surprised that Nic ended up doing things he didn't want to do, but somehow "Birdy" (Modine's character) manages to get him to do. Like wear an outfit made out of pigeon feathers...lol.
Nic is young and unbelievably gorgeous in this even those his teeth were in horrible shape. His body is so awesome you don't really notice unless he smiles...lol. His acting was so natural and enjoyable even though it was so early in his career. I enjoyed it very much. And I couldn't help but get the sense that his character was very much like him. Caring of others, ladies man, sensitive with a tough veneer. I was very smitten with this one.
For me, there was an animal cruelty scene that I had to leave the room for. But that's just me, others probably won't have a problem with it. But I recommend if you find this one in a bargain bin somewhere, get it!!!

This one seems to be really hard to find. There are a few from about this time that I still haven't been able to locate. Glad to hear that this movie was so good.
As a side note, I think his natural teeth added to his charm. I don't like the overly-fake, pretty boy Hollywood teeth. But maybe they looked worse than what I've seen. I'm puzzled as to why someone like him, who came from a fairly affluent background, had crooked teeth. Strange.

just because Nick's Uncle Francis had money,doesn't mean he shared it with Nick's dad and his nephews other than to maybe have the boys stay with his family during the summer.
a college professor in the 70's didn't make much money and chances are August Coppola was paying for alimony and raising his three sons on his own.
Nick's dad has always struck me as proud. Would a proud man let his brother pay for his son's dental bills?
Ok ...Ella said that Nic is visiting and paying for his mom Joy Vogelsang all the medical bills it is really nice of him Congrats Nic !!!!
But when Nic was young and had no money I think August had to pay for his wife treatments ...he was not rich and the dental things was not that important ...like education , feed the kids etc...

Well, I don't have a problem with the straight teeth... but there is something about seeing someone on the big screen that's not afraid to be natural and doesn't feed into the hype. For some reason, it's intriguing to me.

I'm not on the big screen and I still prefer straight teeth. I'm just vain like that. I need to fix my lower teeth again because my wisdom teeth pushed them back to crooked again.
I don't think Nic had need to make his teeth straight and do whitening it either ...really lol He maybe had few other things as surgeries to fix him face or other body parts ? lol
His teeth are ok now ...I am sure he did fix it because it was disturbing him ...( I mean probably)
Just like myself I will go by next year into a plastic surgery just to liking myself a bit more lol
