I wanted to start this thread to discuss our travel plans for our vacation. I know it's kind of a long ways off, but it doesn't hurt to start planning now. Your bank account will thank you for it.
I personally have discovered a nifty way to get a free round trip coach ticket to anywhere in the U.S. My Power Rewards Visa card lets me earn points towards rewards, and for 25,000 points that ticket is mine. I've already got over 2,000 saved up, and I've only had the card 2 weeks and spent about $120 with it. If I only spend about that much every month, I will have way more points than I'll ever need by that time. Hell, if I buy enough crap with it and keep it paid off, I could get an airline ticket AND cash towards a hotel room! Ain't that somethin'??
Are we going to Vegas first? If so, what I'm considering doing is buying a ticket from Las Vegas to L.A., then taking a bus from OKC to Vegas a few days beforehand (to meet up with you guys), then taking off by plane to L.A. from there. We need to figure out how much this trip will cost us, too.

That's great that your card is like that D! I think planning is a good idea too. The last thing we need is a botched up trip because we decided to just jump in our cars & go so to speak. So we're hitting Vegas first? Sounds good to me!
I'm glad that it is being planned for the following summer. I need some time. But I still think that I prefer to pass on Vegas myself. I will try to go straight from here to there and catch ya'll wherever we decide to land out there. I just hope that ol' Nicky boy will not be living in England by then. Otherwise we will need to brush up on some "real English"......lol.

I'm thinking that, for me, it would be cheaper to use the round trip ticket from Vegas to L.A. Can you set up a round trip ticket to go from Vegas - L.A. and then leave L.A. and go to Oklahoma City? Or do arrival and departure destinations have to be the same? I can get a one-way ticket from OKC to Vegas dirt cheap.

You'd think with the hot weather, summer wouldn't be a good Vegas time, but they are promoting more family friendly stuff and that means summer vacations. We'll have to check for some deals.

Cool sites! Thanks D. On "E Entertainment" you hear them mention the "Ivy" quite a bit. I wouldn't mind taking my chances there. But Nic probably does the sushi bit more so "Nobu" is probably a good bet too.
