Well I did a little research for myself & found that it would cost $193 & up from Philly to L.A. round trip. But from Allentown to L.A. it would cost $343 & up! WTF!? I was hoping it would be cheaper because Allentown is closer to me than Philly is!
I'm still trying to figure out how airline rates are determined, perfect. It doesn't follow any logical pattern that I can discern. Why does it cost someone in Florida (Cheri) less money to fly to L.A. than someone in Oklahoma City? Imean, obviously airlines vary in price... and I do know that you can get your tickets cheaper the closer you are to the destination date. So I think the best course of action would be to determine when we will go, then wait until we approach that date to buy our tickets. Sometimes you can get them pretty cheap if you buy at the last minute and fly coach. That's what I'm gonna do.
So are we gonna hit Vegas first? We could try to arrange it so that we could arrive at Vegas first, spend a couple of days there, then fly to L.A. Can that be done? Can you arrange flights that stop at Vegas first, then take off for L.A. a day or so later? I know nothing about travel, so I'll have to ask a travel agent about this, but I'm sure it can be done.

I know nothing about traveling either D. Everywhere I've ever been has been gotten there by car! LOL! So I guess maybe it is a good idea to just waitill we're about ready, but one thing I noticed is that not all flights are available. So in order for us to meet at the same time we're gonna have to have a good jump start on booking our flights.
I found rates for me from Ft.Laud, FL to LA with a 4 star hotel room for 2 adults (leaves a spare bed for someone) for a week, from anywhere from $800 to $1200. And some of the hotels are right by Universal Studios and alot of places I was hoping to see. It seems like it may actually be in my grasp!!!!....lol

I'm assuming this depends on how many are actually going. If it's just us 4 (Me, perfect, CheriPits, Sinclaire), we might be able to swing that if we get a double room. And it sure would be cheaper. But I'll leave that up to you guys as some people are funny about doing that.

We will be watching "Zandalee" screaming our heads off with lust during those most important scenes. Also drooling all over the bedspreads and pillows during the first half of "Face/Off" (at least Sinclaire and I will be) and "Honeymoon in Vegas". Cheri, you'll be scrambling for the remote control to pause it during the "freeballing" scenes. LMAO.

We can get a relatively cheap, no-frills room (as long as it's got a TV and a DVD player or DVD hookup... one of us can bring a DVD player if necessary) and eating can be cheap as well. But I would be so excited to finally get to see L.A. and maybe even Las Vegas if we can swing it.
I definitely want to hit at least one wax museum, and see Nic's star on the Walk of Fame.
