“Lord of War” (Andrew Niccol). Another gifted New Zealander wrote and directed this scathing satire starring Nicolas Cage as a gun-runner who makes a fortune selling Cold War weapons to homicidal dictators. As he acquires a trophy wife, misleads his conscientious brother and competes with a more seasoned dealer, Cage brings a cranky deadpan flair to an almost hopelessly amoral character.

This was on MSN under the Entertainment section this morning. They were rating the top 10 films of 2005. "Lord Of War" they actually listed as #6 with the above article.

I forgot to mention that I got my copy of Lord of War like 2 days ago. I tried watching it last night but fell asleep. Not because of the movie ofcourse! LOL! No, it was just late. I had to wait to get the kiddies to bed & for some reason they just wanted to be awake last night! However, from what I did see, I don't think I care much for this one. I had a feeling I wouldn't. I'm very anti guns to begin with! I don't even care much for people who hunt!

okay, watched LOW last night and it was great!  I loved the story line and Nic's voice overs.  What bothered me the most is that it didn't seem like he was giving his all with his movie wife.  Yes, he kissed her, but not with the passion he's done in other flicks and she was supposed to be his obsession.  The shower scene was good, but really could have been hot if he was into it.  I assume he couldn't give it his normal full attention because of his real wife.  Understandable.  Ethan Hawk was good but could have had a bigger role.  Other than those 2 things, I really liked it and will recommend it to everyone.  I'm kind of partial to 80's stuff, so that's an added bonus.

From what I've seen, I'd have to agree Sinclaire. He didn't seem to have any chemistry with his female lead. He definately seemed to be holding back!
