'Duran Duran' film may star Affleck and Cage
Washington | December 02, 2005 3:29:35 PM IST

Eighties band 'Duran Duran' has signed a lucrative deal with an American film company to produce a movie on their prolific 25 years in the music industry.

According to sources, the 'Rio' hitmakers, who launched their career in 1978, are planning to cast Ben Affleck and Nicolas Cage for the lead roles in the movie.

"Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor will all have cameos but they're casting for the main roles. Ben Affleck and Nicolas Cage are both big fans, so you never know!" Contactmusic quoted a source as saying. (ANI)

Really!? I can't. Maybe it's the whole eighties aspect of it that I don't care much for. No, I didn't & still don't care for eighties music.

Oh, I'm a big 80's fan (not much of a 70's fan, then or now).  Duran Duran was my first concert that I went to "as a big girl".  Hey, Iowa gets left off the tour a lot so cut me some slack.

Hard to see Nic as a Taylor, but knowing him he could pull it off.

UGH! I can't handle 80's music. I don't know why, but it makes my skin crawl! I even have a hard time watching Valley Girl.

I'll remember that when you come to dinner : note to self - no 80's for her, stick with Eddie Daniels' clarinet.  We have everything but country in our house so there's lots to choose from.

LOL! Who is Eddie Daniels? Nah don't do clarinet either. Got any Beastie Boys? They're pretty much my only exception to the 80's. Hey, atleast I'm trying to compromise! LOL!
